Turmeric Poached Eggs

(Gut healthy, anti-inflammatory)

Turmeric is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory, disease-fighting antioxidants that you always want to have on hand… And these effects are amplified by 2,000% when black pepper is added!


Ingredients: - 1 Tbls turmeric - 2 Tbls apple cider vinegar (contains prebiotics and aids in digestion for gut-health) - 2 large pasture-raised eggs - Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions: - Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add in the turmeric and ACV, and stir to combine. - Gently crack one egg into a small bowl and ease into the water. Wait until the egg white is opaque and then add in the second egg (about 30 seconds). - Cook the eggs for 3-4 minutes for a runny yolk (or add two minutes for a firmer yolk). -Use a slotted spoon to remove the eggs from the water. Set them onto a plate with paper towels to drain.  Season with sea salt and crack some black pepper on those bad boys to unleash the powerful anti-inflammatory benefits of the turmeric!


***Serve on top of avocado toast, sautéed greens, etc.
