We interrupt this rainy day to bring you a bowl of lean, green, creamy goodness. I call this the “zen bowl”.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup almond milk (or nut milk of choice)
- 2 scoops plant based protein
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup steamed then frozen spinach/kale
- 1/2 cup steamed then frozen cauliflower (*Smoothie bowl hack: frozen cauliflower makes it creamy without the taste of veggies! Just be sure to steam it before freezing, as it’s easier to digest.)
- Optional: 1 scoop collagen peptides (eliminate this to keep it vegan)
Directions:
Toss everything into high-powered blender (I use a Vitamix), and blend until your smoothie is a thick, smooth consistency. Pour into bowl and add your favorite toppings.
Topping favorites: frozen blueberries, toasted buckwheat (or granola of choice), toasted walnuts & pumpkin seeds, Brazil nut (amazing source of selenium), your favorite nut butter, banana slices, coconut flakes, anything your 💚 desires.
